When you select the ECO programme, your appliance will use lower wash and rinse temperatures and minimise the amount of water required while still achieving effective dirt removal.

Umývačka šírky 60 cm pojme 12-15 súprav riadu a hodí sa pre 3-5 člennú domácnosť. Model 45 cm pojme 9-10 súprav a je vhodný pre 1-2 osoby alebo menšie kuchyne. Spotreba vody sa líši minimálne (9-11 l vs. 7-9 l na cyklus), takže 60 cm model je efektívnejší na súpravu.
Moderná umývačka (energetická trieda C alebo lepšia podľa nového štítku) spotrebuje 8-10 litrov vody na cyklus — ručné umývanie rovnakého množstva riadu vyžaduje 40-60 litrov. Ročná spotreba elektrickej energie je 70-100 kWh. ECO program spotrebuje najmenej energie, ale trvá dlhšie (3-4 hodiny).
Vstavaná umývačka sa zasúva do kuchynskej skrinky šírky 45 alebo 60 cm. Potrebujete prívod studenej vody (3/4" ventil), odpad (sifón s odbočkou alebo samostatný) a zásuvku 230V mimo priestor umývačky. Dvierka kuchynskej linky sa pripevnia na predný panel. Inštaláciu zvládne šikovný kutil za 1-2 hodiny.
Na bežne znečistený riad použite ECO program (50 °C) — je najúspornejší, hoci trvá 3-4 hodiny. Na silne znečistený riad s pripáleninami zvoľte intenzívny program (65-75 °C). Rýchly program (30-40 minút) je len na mierne znečistený riad bez zaschnutých zvyškov.
Filter na dne umývačky čistite po každom 3-5 umytí — stačí vybrať a opláchnuť pod tečúcou vodou. Raz mesačne spustite prázdny cyklus na 65 °C so špeciálnym čističom alebo pohárom octu. Tesnenie dvierok utrite vlhkou handričkou raz týždenne. Ramená ostriekajte a skontrolujte, či nie sú upchaté trysky.
AquaStop je bezpečnostný systém, ktorý automaticky zastaví prívod vody pri úniku alebo prasknutí hadice. Skladá sa z dvojstennej hadice a elektromagnetického ventilu. Je prakticky povinný — chráni pred vytopením kuchyne. Väčšina moderných umývačiek ho má v štandarde, pri lacnejších modeloch overte v špecifikácii.
